In a scenario where companies seek to balance growth, operational efficiency, and control of technology spending, IT infrastructure has taken on a strategic role in business decisions. It was in this context that POPULIS, a human resources management software company, decided to migrate its technological environment to Oracle infrastructure, in partnership with Skyone, a Brazilian technology company specializing in cloud, data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The change resulted in a 38% reduction in costs.

In addition to the economic benefits, the migration brought greater financial predictability to the company. Previously, part of the operating costs were linked to the dollar. With the new environment, POPULIS began to perform its calculations in reais, which increased visibility over expenses and provided more security for projections and decisions.

The change also allowed POPULIS to optimize its internal structure. Part of the infrastructure that was previously maintained by the company itself is now served by Skyone's services, reducing the need for resources dedicated to operations. This allowed the team to focus its efforts on more strategic activities.

“More than just a change in the technological environment, this project represents a strategic partnership for POPULIS. Having Skyone by our side gives us the confidence of having a specialized team, close to our operation and capable of understanding our needs as the business evolves,” says Ubirajara Camargo, director of POPULIS.

The project was carried out using Skyone Autosky, the company's solution focused on migrating and managing cloud environments, created specifically to move ERPs and legacy applications to the cloud without the company needing to rewrite its systems' code.

“Our role in this project went far beyond simply migrating the environment. We worked side-by-side with POPULIS from the planning stage of the change and monitored the operation to ensure that the infrastructure is aligned with the business needs. This close collaboration is fundamental to identifying optimization opportunities, anticipating demands, and ensuring that the technology keeps pace with the company's evolution,” says Rennan Sanchez, CTO of Skyone.
