With the arrival of the pandemic, the search for cloud solutions began at an accelerated pace in accounting service companies.

Since they lacked the experience and vision to use the cloud, the initial alternative was to create remote access to the servers.
The result was significant losses, as many people lost data, had to restore from backups , and some didn't even have backups to restore from.
" It was a pandemic within a pandemic for accounting services companies ," says Adriano Santos, Commercial Director of Contmatic .
Companies needed to get through this period while keeping their operations running, even with each employee working from home.

“ At that time, many clients were using other tools to remotely access their machines. When they started using the cloud offering, they realized that to gain flexibility and solve the issue of working from home, the cloud was a perfect fit ,” Adriano points out.
As a solution, the company developed a team focused on implementations.
With the completion of this step, it became clear that those who were not Contmatic customers were already opting for cloud-based solutions, without even considering the previous desktop offering.
“ This brought a significant gain, first and foremost, in customer loyalty. Many still tried to find cloud offerings from competitors, but since we were able to have this offer right at the beginning of the pandemic, thanks to a great effort by Sky.One together with the Contmatic technical team, it was possible to offer it quickly, over a weekend, getting everything ready for customers ,” reports Adriano.
In the accounting field, Contmatic has served over 3,000 users (20% of the segment's customer base), who are extremely satisfied with the cloud service.
With the new service offering, a Contmatic customer migrating to the cloud takes only 24 hours .
In other words, it goes to sleep using the local operating system and wakes up already in the cloud.
" This makes customers first like the solution and, second, have enormous satisfaction in being able to make the switch so quickly ," says Adriano.
“ Satisfaction was practically 100%. In fact, when we decided to offer this solution to customers at the beginning of the pandemic, the result was high satisfaction. Today we have 0.5% dissatisfaction. Out of more than 3,000 users, we only had 5 cancellations due to lack of adaptation ,” says Adriano.
As a result, cloud offerings grew by approximately 25% compared to 2020 .
There is also a gradual increase in customers migrating from on-premise to the cloud.
With the cloud offering, Contmatic customers who had been paying a specific amount now also pay the additional cost for the cloud service . This gives them flexibility and 24/7 access.
" So he pays more to have this offer available, and this has significantly increased our cross-selling ," confirms Adriano.
The pandemic forced the migration of work to home office, and cloud-based solutions provided everything that accounting firms needed.
“ Companies continued working 24/7, as they began to better manage employee work schedules. This helped them work in different shifts, which means that the offer for our clients, being accounting service companies, was very successful ,” says Adriano.
