Rafael Suzuki (Stock Car driver) talks about his "fit" with the technology and the new partnership with Skyone.

In the world of motorsports, every fraction of a second matters. The pursuit of peak performance involves not only the driver's skill, but also the strategic use of technology and data analysis. Just as companies adopt artificial intelligence and advanced solutions to improve decision-making, in sports the accuracy of information can be the difference between victory and defeat.

It is in this context that Skyone joins forces with driver Rafael Suzuki in Stock Car 2025 , bringing a partnership that reinforces the importance of technology, innovation, and high performance both on and off the track. To understand more about this connection between motorsport and technology, we chatted with Rafael Suzuki. Check it out:

Rafael Suzuki, how did your journey in motorsports begin?

My career has been quite long already. I started karting at the age of 10, like most drivers. It all began as a game. My father took me to have fun because he knew I liked racing from a very young age. Gradually, I developed a taste for it and started participating in championships, always with a lot of family support.

When did you realize you wanted to turn this into a profession?

From my very first race, I always took motorsports very seriously. It was never a hobby, like playing tennis, for example. When it came time to finish high school, my mother wanted me to go to college, but I decided to persevere in the sport for a few more years to try and become a professional. It was between the ages of 15 and 17 that this decision solidified.

Many people see motorsport as an individual sport. How important is the team to your performance?

Many people think the driver does everything alone, but in reality, there's a huge team behind every race. Since our karting days, we've learned to value the work of mechanics and engineers. In Stock Car racing, the structure is even more complex. We have engineering, logistics, finance, HR, and even data strategist departments. The driver may be the visible face of the team, but everything happens collaboratively.

How do technology and data analysis influence your performance on the track?

Today, data analysis is essential. During a race, we receive real-time information about fuel consumption, tire temperature, aerodynamics, and other factors. The key is to transform this data into quick and strategic decisions. Ultimately, that's what makes the difference between gaining or losing positions on the track.

Have you ever had moments where decision-making was crucial?

Absolutely! In motorsports, you have only a few seconds to make a decision. Experience helps a lot, but preparation makes all the difference. Before the race, we study possible scenarios and define strategies. Some races require a more aggressive style, others a more conservative approach. All of this is based on data analysis and understanding each race.

And how important is trust within the team?

It's essential! In motorsports, you need to have 100% confidence in the work of your engineer and mechanics. After all, we're dealing with speeds exceeding 250 km/h, and any detail can impact performance and safety. I've had situations in my career where I insisted on working with specific people because I knew that this relationship of trust would make a difference.

What does this partnership with Skyone mean to you?

Having a technology company by our side is incredible. Motorsports is always seeking innovation, and this connection with Skyone brings us continuous learning. I'm starting to understand more about the impact of data and AI in our daily lives, and I see that there are many parallels between the technology used in motorsports and in companies. This partnership further strengthens the importance of data for strategic decision-making.

Skyone and Rafael Suzuki are accelerating together towards innovation, proving that, whether on the track or in business, those who master data have a competitive advantage.
