Through the Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication add-on, users can access the Auto.Sky platform from a central login, optimizing company governance and providing greater control and management of access, technological security, and an enhanced user experience

With a view to technological security, optimizing user experience and operational governance, Sky.One has just announced to the market the new authentication functionality, Auto.Sky Single Sign-On (SSO), of its cloud migration and management platform, Auto.Sky, with a complete infrastructure that improves resources, financial costs and operational performance.

With a US$50,000 investment in its development, the new add-on enhances the digital security of companies that work with their ERP in the cloud and simplifies the authentication process for users accessing the Auto.Sky platform, allowing for assertive integration with various Identity Providers (IdPs) on the market.

According to Sky.One's Growth Manager, Caetano Notari, by eliminating the need for multiple passwords and ensuring the possibility of activating multi-factor authentication (MFA), the company increases its efficiency, productivity, and user satisfaction, in addition to reducing operational costs related to technological support. "The implementation of SSO simplifies the auditing and monitoring process, and allows for the central deactivation of an account, denying access to all connected services when necessary, contributing to the governance and management of companies," he states.

The executive explains that cybersecurity is a priority in today's market, as it prevents technological risks. Research such as the Global Digital Trust Insights Survey confirms this scenario, indicating that eight out of ten companies in Brazil invest in cybersecurity.

“Organizations are increasingly strengthening control measures to promote the security of their employees' access, seeking centralized management of users of enterprise technologies, as well as control of access permissions in internal systems. This new add-on helps to optimize all these points in companies,” reinforces Notari.

In this regard, according to the 2023 Identity Security Report, released by the Identity Defined Security Alliance (IDSA), 97% of respondents intend to invest in identity authentication tools in the coming months. "This trend has been increasingly adopted by companies, which is why our goal is to also introduce it to the ERP market, reinforcing the importance of this new feature and ensuring greater reliability for customers," says the executive.

Practical application

Current and new customers will be able to use the Auto.Sky SSO add-on through Identity Providers, a service that stores and verifies user identity, available on the market in the open federation standard, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0, to authenticate their users on platforms such as Azure AD, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium and Enterprise.

According to Notari, by using SAML 2.0, the Auto.Sky platform securely shares identity credentials between various applications and services, providing an enhanced user experience. The executive explains that if a current Sky.One customer is interested in the feature, they simply need to get in touch and proceed with the subscription. In the case of a potential customer, it is possible to choose the SSO add-on at the time of subscribing to Auto.Sky.

According to Notari, the adoption outlook for the application is quite promising, as it is a widely used solution in SaaS software, but one that is not yet considered for companies' ERPs: "Auto.Sky demonstrates Sky.One's commitment to continuous innovation, user security, and excellence in customer experience, a purpose we hold in our company and will continue to uphold," he concludes.
