About Skyone
Panasonic, the Japanese electronics manufacturer, has adopted Integra.Sky, an integration platform from Sky.One, a São Paulo-based company specializing in cloud computing, to automate its end-to-end order and sales process.
Previously, the company used its own tool, which had been created more than 10 years ago and was showing signs of obsolescence. According to the company, it diverted the focus of its IT team's attention from specific demands.
According to Marcio Ito, IT general manager at Panasonic Brazil, the company was looking for a solution that would guarantee security in its traffic, from the Salesforce CRM to the SAP ERP already in use.
“Besides being lightweight, simple, and quick to implement, the deciding factor in our choice was the support from the Sky.One team, who were committed and engaged in ensuring the project was successfully implemented,” explains Ito.
With the adoption of the new solution, Panasonic estimates that it has reduced the time and cost of integration implementation by approximately 40%.
Based on the project's success, the company decided that Integra.Sky will be its official integration platform in Brazil.
“This request is currently undergoing internal approval for the integration of all other systems with the ERP. Especially in the case of e-commerce, our expectation is that the entire integration will be 100% finalized by Black Friday,” says Ito.
According to the executive, the integration will now assist the company in its migration from Business One, SAP's management software for small and medium-sized enterprises, to S/4 Hana, also from the German multinational.
“They have completely different interfaces, and reconstructions and reconnections will be necessary, not only of the interfaces but also of satellite systems with SAP. In this way, Integra.Sky will play a fundamental role in streamlining and collaborating on this process, reducing risk and implementation costs, as well as offering even greater scalability to the business,” explains Ito.
Founded in 1918 as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., Panasonic also developed an earlier product line called National, which initially manufactured household appliances, personal devices, and industrial equipment.
The company began its operations in Brazil in 1967, importing and selling batteries. Currently, it has manufacturing plants in Manaus, São José dos Campos (SP), and Extrema (MG).
Operating since 2013, Sky.One is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. The company offers cloud migration for various management solutions written for on-premise environments, eliminating the need to rewrite code.
The company serves 1,600 clients in 16 countries across four continents. In 2020, it had a revenue of R$ 100 million, and the projection for 2022 was to reach R$ 400 million. In 2021, the Inovabra Ventures fund led a Series B funding round of R$ 45 million in the company.
