The joint venture offers a convergent and complementary portfolio across various verticals, with a focus on industry and retail.

Sky.One , a technology startup specializing in the development of platforms that facilitate the use of the cloud, joins forces with DB Master, a nationally recognized company for its expertise in database management and information technology solutions, to announce the creation of a joint venture, Sky.One & DB Master . The objective of this partnership is to provide a unique offering for clients who demand robust cloud infrastructure solutions with database management and structuring.

“ISVs (Independent Software Vendors), or Software Developers in Portuguese, have been receiving increasing demands to deliver a truly cloud-based solution. The process requires more than simply uploading the app to the cloud. Without the correct tools and procedures, applications can malfunction from both a technical and financial standpoint,” explains Ricardo Brandão, CEO of Sky.One.

Sky.One has a platform that simplifies the migration and support of complex systems in the cloud, while DB Master specializes in database management for critical operations. Together, the two companies bring a unique offering to the market, already compliant with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). This law, which comes into effect in 2020, will require clients to incur new costs and investments in information technology, as data will have a higher level of protection.

“DB Master is one of the leading providers of database management solutions in Brazil, maintaining close partnerships with the world's largest technology manufacturers, such as Oracle and Microsoft, and has over 20 years of experience in IT services. Our solutions minimize and control risks, reduce costs, and improve processes,” explains João Carlos Oliveira, CEO of DB Master.

“The requirements of the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) bring new demands to clients, making a single solution essential for simplifying this adaptation. The new company is already structured with the combined knowledge of Sky.One and DB Master, which facilitates our clients' path in digital transformation in pursuit of efficiency, security, and reliability,” adds Brandão.

Flávio Barros, CEO of Consinco, a company specializing in management systems for supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors, sees the merger as a significant competitive advantage. “Both companies, Sky.One and DB Master, are strategic partners of Consinco. We are certain that the new offering will help our clients on their journey to digital transformation, which is a fundamental step for the success of their respective businesses.”

Among the main benefits of this union, we can highlight:

  • Complex and cumbersome integrations with your database;
  • Extracting BI reports without degrading your environment;
  • Specialists with the skills to perform updates at the application layer.
