In episode #80, Guilherme Goulart from Skyone discusses cloud migration, data governance, and the challenges of generating real value with AI.
The latest episode of the ERP Summit Podcast featured Guilherme Goulart , sales director for partners at Skyone, in a conversation led by Dama Roman and Jéssica Corsi , the show's hosts. In episode #80, the executive discussed the main challenges companies face when migrating to the cloud and explained why many organizations are still not prepared to extract real value from Artificial Intelligence.
Right at the start of the chat, Goulart shared his nearly decade-long journey at Skyone and commented on the company's work expanding its partner ecosystem. Currently, the platform connects more than 400 ERP , allowing companies to integrate solutions and expand their digital strategies more securely and efficiently.
During the conversation, the executive warned against a common mistake in the digital transformation process: migrating to the cloud without strategic planning. According to him, many organizations simply replicate their local infrastructure in cloud environments, a practice that does not solve structural problems and can generate even higher operating costs .
Another central point of the interview was the relationship between data and Artificial Intelligence. According to Goulart, investing in AI without first structuring data governance and consolidating essential systems, such as ERP and CRM, is a significant risk. In practice, AI should be seen as the top of the technological pyramid , dependent on reliable data and well-organized processes to generate real value for the business.
Cybersecurity was also highlighted in the episode. The executive emphasized that the topic is no longer treated merely as a technical obligation but has become a fundamental element for business continuity . In this context, more mature companies are already adopting strategies that prioritize not only incident prevention but also the ability to recover quickly in crisis scenarios.
Goulart also reflected on the transformation of the technology market and the role of resellers. According to him, the simple sale of cloud infrastructure has become a commodity, which requires an evolution in the operating model of partners. In this new scenario, the differentiator lies in acting as strategic consultants , capable of guiding clients on innovation, systems integration, and value creation through technology.
Closing the episode, the director highlighted that the evolution of the cloud and the advancement of Artificial Intelligence go hand in hand and should significantly expand data consumption and processing in the coming years. He believes that companies that manage to structure their technological infrastructure well will be better prepared to seize the opportunities of this new phase of digital transformation.
